Clio. It was absolutely finished when he got rid of it! He was driving down the road one time and his passenger front wheel overtook him. The car came to rest on the kerb with unreal amounts of damage. He fixed it all but it was maintained to the absolute minimum level!!

Because (if you read the thread) the key blade does not fit the lock and so the 'anti theft' device is kicking in. AKA, the lock is just spinning.

172/182's don't have key holes on the boot.

Get a big screwdriver and wrap the metal bit in a microfibre. Jam it in the top of the door and bend the door outwards. Stick a lump of wood (I used my jumper tied in a knot last time) and prop the gap open. Stick an old coat hanger in the car and pull the door handle.

I recently wrapped a bonnet (and didn't use the striped glue stuff! D'oh!) and £100 is fair. It's not easy and if I had hair, I'd have torn it out. Very very tedious process.

That beep is to tell you something is open. Check all the doors and boot and finally, as alex mentioned, check the bonnet switch.

The fact is, they have £2mil+ worth of stock and sell more cars than any main dealer in Bristol. It will sell. (As much as it pains me to say it)

That's smart repairable, my bloke would charge £70 for that. (35 for the bumper, 35 for the black plastic) It's not an ideal repair (I wouldn't have it on my car!!) but it would pass the eye of a hire car company employee. Best get ringing around in the morning George!
