Mk1 Corsa. Good god those cars have zero redeeming features. If anyone can name 3 good things, i'll award you 10 man points.
I had a 1.0 12v as a runner for work and it was so so s**t. Uncomfy, heavy steering, s**t driving position, dreadful chairs, an absolutely ridiculous steering wheel...
I'll attend either way, but i'll only bring a clio for the stand if it's in a 'premium' location. I can't be bothered to be walking halfway around the circuit all the time with my son. I'm really old and tired and he's got really small legs.
I'd offer to do it saturday but a) i'm working and B) my mate whose garage I use is away all weekend.
I know lemonnobby1 is pretty quiet this week, I spoke to him tonight.
If it's had a whack (which would explain the bent crash bar and bent subframe) the airbags and/or the pre tensioners have maybe fired and the airbag lights have then come on. Rather than getting the ECU reset and fitting new airbags and pre tensioners someone has decided that pulling a bulb out...
There's lots you can do.
Put a standard exhaust back on it.
Change the exhaust for a quieter stainless one.
Fit a cat back in it if it doesn't currently have one.
Add a silencer to the centre section if it hasn't got one.
The only thing I find with trim dressing, it dissolves the pads! Lol
I use Autoglym stuff though so a different brand may be ok.
I use them mainly for glass polish. Because they're so small they're great for getting in the corners etc.
The point if a van is that I can drive it anywhere, bump it up the kerbs, chuck engines etc in the back.
I can do none if this things to this car as it's really low, is rock hard an far too clean inside.
So I've finally put it back on the road!
Mot, tax and insurance so I'm all good again.
I had a spare hour at work today so I washed it, fitted my new wheels thanks to Wick and TheEvilGiraffe for those!
I also painted my rusty copper coloured nuts.
Still loving it but I really need a van...
I bought some ages ago, they're brilliant!
I use them for polishing, waxing and I've got a couple for dedicated bumper/trim dressing.
You can wash them out too.
Bear in mind I clean at least two cars a day, every day, they've lasted bloody ages!
If it was me, i'd fit a set of coilovers and a set of 16 inch sport wheels. Oh and a better stereo because Renault ones are shite.
Other than that, I really don't see the point in exhausts/air filters etc. It's a 75bhp clio.
Van customers need to be kept on the road so will tend to drop the van off, collect a courtesy van and collect theirs after a couple of days.
Price wise, I was only going by what we used to charge for Trafic cambelts back in 2003 so I may be a little out of touch.

I have this one, it's bloody brilliant...
