when you remove the cylinder head why don't you measure it?
how are you going to reprogramme the car's computer to allow for the increased compression??? is there someone who can do it over there??
its a hell of a lot of work for minimal gains
i will, i happen to know the guy who looks after ALL of the engines for ALL of the uk renault sport racing cars (formula renault single seaters, clio cup, etc etc)

get the plugs out and find someone with an endoscope that can have a look inside the engine
or remove the inlet manifold and turn the engine by hand to check to see if the inlet valves are opening
i know of 1 mk1 172 that made 150bhp, problem was a knackered lambda

And does my plenum thing (Renault Sport upper manifold bit) need to come off to fit them ? yes
If so would i need a new manifold gasket ? yes
And what torque would they get torqued...
