That's great. Maybe see you out in the Tin Tops then.
As for the stickers, a heat gun and a ton of white spirit is all I can suggest. I'm sure someone on here will have a trick or two.
Mitch Plowman at Proline is your man. He can make up lines for you or I’m sure he can supply the parts you need if you’re doing it yourself.

See my note further up this thread. Everything I suggest makes a standard engine stronger and is a good starting point for power making mods.

There are a few modifications worth doing to a standard engine to make it more reliable in a race situation. Mainly aiming at protecting it during high revs.
Megan bottom pulley (keywayed)
ARP rod bolts (common failure on the bottom end)
Super tech valves (and springs)
Nothing is guaranteed of...
You’re better to build one yourself. You just won’t know what you’re getting otherwise.
The more you can do yourself the better of course as race engine builders aren’t cheap.
Glad to hear another Clio coming to join us in Tin Tops next year!
If you have any questions I’m happy to help if I...
I think I had to do a couple in-situ for the same reason. It's not impossible, just use EXACTLY the right size spanners as the aluminium is so soft, any slipping will knacker them. An extra pair of hands would help to steady the hose while you pinch it up.
Looks good Ilya. Just watch the rear doesn't get too light in high speed corners.
I'll be at Bedford tomorrow actually. Look for the Race prepared 350Z. The car will be there from the start but i won't be arriving until about 10am.
We are now officially entered in to the Birkett 6 hour relay so the clock is ticking with just 5 weeks until the race on the 27th October.
This weekend the brakes were stripped and the gearbox dropped out. Doing everything on my own, some of these jobs definitely take longer than with 2 people...
Thanks Sam. Was rather manic wasn’t it.
Unfortunately the gearbox is now done so I won’t be at Mallory.
Got to get the car ready for the Birkett at the end of October.

Thanks mate. Yes, Paul is a handy driver and knows Donington like the back of his hand. He drives hard and expects a lot from the car but he is keen to help develop the car further next year which is great. Especially as he pays me to drive!
Donington
Well, what a weekend!
As anyone who has read some of this earlier thread, 3 years ago I rolled the car in the gravel trap at the bottom of craners after a power steering leak covered the rear tires with fluid. Then 2 months later after rebuilding the car we returned there only for the...
Glad you enjoyed the videos.
I think you’ve got my blog mixed up with someone else’s though as I have the standard pedal assembly.
