on my old laptop ive got xp with outlook 07. i exported all my e-mails into a .pst file. copied this file onto my brand new laptop, it has vista with outlook 07. but when trying to import the file it comes up with an error. it says i need to run scanpst.exe but i cannot find it on my machine...

i want to change a normal hard drive for a SSD hard drive

pfff so i would need to buy vista 64 bit then

ive never changed hard drives in a computer before. what do you do, copy everythiing from the old one onto the new one so that you still have vista etc??

well as my plan is to buy a basic model to start with and upgrade as i go along, i will be aiming for a fast SSD

excellent, the dell web site says free upgrades to 7. are there any different spec SSD's or are they all pretty much the same.
