Good point clarkie!
I flashed a woman in a silver 172 on Friday (headlights only, of course...) and waved as she passed and she just looked at me totally confused....
Bryans summed it up and taking it one stage further (perish the thought) - some RS owners may just be using their cars to get...
Topper - I gave mine the total wash and wax treatment yesterday and I must say, the quality of the black gold finish is pretty dire. Even after 6 years with the GT, the paint quality (especially after waxing) look really good - the 182 is looking worse after just a few months!
The skirt areas...
I wouldnt have it done - especially on a V6. You need people to see that theres an engine in the back - not hiding it away!
I must admit, the silver Clio above doesnt look too bad though.... Tints dont look right on black cars imo.

Thumbs up from me. Just a tad OTT, but it certainly looks good.
Like others on here (Trio etc) Id beef-up the appearance of the exhaust, if it was mine....

Superb - my idea of a modded car. Looks unique, though you know immediately that its a Clio. I normally dont like tints, but with a lighter coloured car, they really work.
Give yourself a decent pat on the back m8 - its a cracking car to look at!

I think RS are going to have some tough decisions to make if they continue the spec increase of the Clios. I dont know the exact list price of a V6, but Ill guess its approx double that of a 182. Ok, it may have 255 horses at the moment, but if a 192, or even 200 brake normal Clio enters the...
j3ned - I pissed my sides at the pics of your Clio! Bang on m8! :D
I thought you would have gone OTT and put wings, spoliers, bodykits, etc on the thing, but it just looks so normal for the most part.
Brilliant - keep it like it is. It must be great to be alongside what would normally be...
At the end of the day, weve only paid £11k-£14k for a bloody decent, fun handling, quick little car. There are many other makes and models out there that people are paying well over £20k for and dont expect to see half that in 3 years time.
Yes, it will lose value, especially when (if) a newer...
Compensation Culture rings true again. I think most people (with the exceptions of the knob drivers mentioned above) are sh*t scared to be honest and tell you that theyve hit your car.
Ive personally heard of people who have witnessed someone put a minor scratch into their car and then...
Sorry guys - those wheels suck big time. They look like them awful multi-spindle/multi-spoke things that were on 3-series BMWs a few years back.
At least you dont have the hassle of cleaning them on GT4 though ;)
D.
Just buy MikeCs wheels off him - they look great imo! :D
Ive got some piccies of 17"s on my previous Punto GTt. It had standard suspension too, so it may give you a better idea of how your Clio will look, like for like before you lower it? Ill dig them out tomorrow. They were Momo Evo Racer 2s...
Mmmm. I think personally, Id go for the V6. They are uber-rare around these parts and they instantly look the mutts nutts. The Elise looks a little girly (despite its obvious dynamic credentials) but if an Exige was thrown into the mix..... erm, well, dunno??!
Never driven a V6 but I have had...
Damn - rumbled by telford....... ;)
Just interested really. Ive driven both the new shape MR2 and a 911 and was interested how both manufacturers got around the lack of space issue. Porsche rather cleverly, Toyota a bit daft really...
I was just wondering how the V6 faired.

Neeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............. Neeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr - start of the Spy Hunter tune! Sounded like a demented track from The Blues Brothers....
Hoe261 - lol! - The big Three Zero already (and counting...)
I still have abash on MAME every now and then - I can never remember it...
Jeezuz Cuthbert - whats your insurance like now on a 172???!
Saw an RA1 in action and was impressed with it. Must say, Id go for the IK myself. Be warned though, loads of insurance companies classify an IK as a "non standard equipment component" and your premium can either go through the roof...
Seemingly stupid question I know (the engine - doh!) - but whats actually there? Is there any space at all for luggage or is it just access to oil filler caps etc?
Just intrigued.....!

Metallics right. The BG colour looks good when clean (especially early evening or under street lights) - but its an absolute beeatch to keep clean!
I knew that when I ordered it though, so Ive only got myself to blame! :)
