Drive it until it needs new belts!
Engines can be had for £250 and fitted in a day. For free if you do it yourself.
Belts (done properly) cost £500.
I could go through three engines by the time I'd spent the £500 on belts lol!
It's standard behaviour in a 1.2. Short journeys, long plastic filler neck full of condensation.
Clear it all out, go for a long drive and check again, it will be fine.
Tyres need to be bone dry before applying dressing. The slightest bit of moisture between the dressing and the tyre will mean the dressing will just fling itself off as soon as you drive off.
Clio mk3's, unless they're renaultsport models, are dreadful to drive. Terrible seats, terrible steering, torque less engines. Out of those two cars, I'd take a mini all day long.
I bought a £15 code reader from ebay and have used it on my cars, mates cars and even strangers cars that come wandering into the garage! It paid for itself within the first 24 hours seeing as my local place charges me £25 for a download. (Admittedly they have a £4000 machine that's considerably...
The bad thing is, he bought a brand spanking new mondeo ST220 with the money (About £27k's worth anyway) and has still got it now. I't probably worth about £2000 and that's it.
I'd have tried to do something a bit more useful with the money, especially as he's probably 35/36 now and still...
I'm really not a fan of that, but it's not my car so who gives a fcuk what I think!
As long as you like it that's all that matters.
I thought Msports only came out in 2003/4?
About 10+ years ago my mate was a passenger in a nova wihen a very similar incident occured. He lost teeth, broke a collar bone etc and after a 12 month claim, he settled on £32,000 compensation.
Your passenger's got a big cheque coming!
Fred@BTM is your best bet by a country mile. The blokes a genius. A hairy genius but that's another story...
Shocks, springs, TRE's, Ball joints, ARB bushes, steering rack bushes topmounts and a good geo setup will have it factory fresh again and it will be a great drive!
I've had over 20 of them so you could say I like them a bit! lol.
I've had a few Coupes (Picking a 1.8 up tomorrow actually) and only two turbo's iirc, but they're not for me i'm afraid. A spirited drive down a back road was like steering a really flexible barge. Great in a straight line, look...
You don't want the valver mate. As much as i'd love to take your money off you, you will end up in the same position as you're in now.
Its the reason i'm selling it... I can't be bothered with the hassle/expense of sending it somewhere to finish it off (Cooksport is the obvious choice) or...
I had a magnex on mine. Loud enough to hear the boxer rumble but not chav.
I've had a bugeye with an Afterburner Vortex thing on it and that was insanely loud. Could literally hear it coming from miles away! lol.
LOL! What does it do on a run?
I bought mine from manchester and did a full tank on the way home. The astra 1.8 petrol that took me there and followed me home did it on just over half! lol.
Sell your Dci, sell your bits... £13,500 in your pocket.
Spend £5k on a nice new(er) shape Mx5, £2k on a turbo conversion and bank £6500.
You've then got some cash for a rainy day and a nice car that is good on a commute or Epic on track.
Sorted.
