What can you get for £4500 that has 250+ bhp, weighs about a tonne, (ruling out an m3) handles as well as a Clio, (ruling out a vauxhall) is relatively rot free (compared to jap crap) and is as comfy to sit in (Ruling out a caterfield)
Tbf, if an engines going to go bang, its going to go bang. Its a risk you take.
But if it went bang, strip down what you've got, buy an engine off here for £250, fit all your bits back on and away you go.
When you start forging and uprating cams and s**t, it gets expensive. An expensive clio...
This.
If its a track day application and you're not having to adhere to rule books, why on earth would you spend £3000 on bodies for 212bhp when you could go Turbo/supercharged and get 240+bhp for the same money??
I love it so much.
I'd be scared of owning it though. I had to sell a £2000 clio because I wouldn't leave it in a carpark or outside the house etc. A £45k Aston Martin would give me a heart attack!! lol.
The car is designed to hve an earlier limiter when its not up to temperature.
Is it up to temperature? Usuall takes 30 mins of driving I'd guess.
If it is, it mabe a wanky temp sensor or something.
If the lights on, there's a fault. If you turn it off, as soon as the wheels turn it will come on again unless the fault is rectified.
Take the bulb out.
