It would actually be worth getting a lawyers letter drafted up should they drag their heels any more than now! So have you ever seen this service book or have they just told you they "have" had it all along? What if they do find it and just stamp it anyway...?

Thats such poor service im actually suprised its a main dealer. Like you say though, the deceit alone is worth making a fuss over. Im really picky that way aswell, its the type of thing unsuspecting people get stung for come re-sale time

I test drove one before i settled for the C2 GT. Cant remember how it drives but i recall the senso drive done my tits in (this was 5 years ago i gather there have been moderate changes since) ASlong as you enjoy it thats the main thing matey :)

IIRC you have to send the Sensodrive gearbox a letter to let it know to change gear ;) Enjoy

Also to add, id be buying one off here as the chances are you will be able to look through the sellers previous threads and posts to see if the car has had any previous faults/problems etc

Well played. IMO the reliability comments are nonsense. Used car buyings a lottery, good or bad, no in betweens. I had no problems what so ever with my Phase 1 172 purley as it had been looked after. You will be glad of the fuel consumption aswell :)
