lol......shows how bad the majority of drivers are wen the manufacturers start fittin this s**t for safety...safety would be knowing how to handle the car in the first place ;)
take those figures with a pinch of salt mate.............mine runs 0-60 in high 5s low 6s...and craggys was right there at the side of me all the way from 0-140 ish.....lol
theres some freakily fast uns out there.
raced quite a few....mostly in the willy tho tbh.
and mostly craggys old vts that i was racing....his was an absolute flier...14.5 1/4 s in near std trim ........
with a good driver behind the wheel, there wasnt a rite lot in it either down the straights..or thru the twisties, altho...
i have neither
on any of my cars.....electronic bullshit not tellin me how to drive......i passed the driving test...why should i let a computer drive my car for me??
;)
sorry thort we were talkin @ the wheel figures....185 impossible with minimal mods lol
152 @ wheels tho...yeah bout right tbh...mine made 145-149 a few times with just de-cat n panel filter n cat back..on the original std williams lump
as fred says..set of cams, remapped ecu will give healthy gains.....throttle bodies and standalone will give better results.
depends how much u wanna spend tbh.
as above mate...bodywise if alls good, will be worth a risk.
imo if the bodyworks been looked after, chances are they will also have looked after it under the bonnet, if not, alls not lost, replacement megane lumps can be had for a couple hundred quid (same eng as williams more or less)...
gp n ecu.....generic map...same map on all ecus.
bearing in mind evry engine is diff. these will have varying results.
for best results, u need a map to suit ur engine, which means a live mapping session., not just an ecu/chip swap.
personally id go for a remap evry time, the gp n...
hmm...varying reports here.
fitted mine bout 2 years ago.love it tbh. feels so much more direct than the std item, and its helps more with the full throttle changes......ppl say the quickness of it destroys boxes..not true id say tbh. fair enough iv destroyed a few boxes in me time, but iv...
im not saying anything about anyone elses work mate. i have no experience of their work.
just from experience in these cases..u DO get what you pay for generally.
or u could tighten the pulley as far as it will go, and elongate the hole in the black bracket/side of fanimold, to see if it will pull up a bit tighter.;)
if u willing to get ur hands dirty...will save u a fortune in labour if owt does go wrong tho.
thats the main thing with these cars...labour charges seem to be extortionate...round about the time the mech has a look under the bonnet and sees how little room there is under there lol......a...
as above really...i had my valver for over 2 years..as with all my cars it saw a good hammering pretty much every day. clutch was on its way wen i sold it for the williams......which iv now had 5 years....again no real trouble with this either.
as long as u get a good un, 1 thats been...
tbh.dont think u need look any further than chip wizards......he is about the best around at the mo. his mapped cars include my own, the nana, chris n nics cup, to name a few....u will notice a pattern emerging....they are all the fast uns ;)
aye...jus been quoted 70 for a back box alone.
fuk that....a s/s item is roughly 250 from cat back, or can go devil mild steel around 350 ish
mine has a new ctr section on at mo....so a quik weldin session an it shud be side exit lol.
