Well mines a mk1 so I can only comment on that. Imo, its made a very small difference to the weight. Mk1's have virtually zero assistance once moving over 5mph. When parking/3 point turning its not much effort. If you're at Llandow hopefully mine will be there and you can try it.

Its something less for the engine to run. Even if you haven't got it switched on its still got to rotate the pulley and that takes power. MAy only be a small amount, but it still takes it. I'd sack it off. I also sacked off power steering because that meant I could make a kit out of a Renault...

I've been really impressed with MWM from the (very!) little i've seen of them on here. First the budget turbo build which is still going strong, and then the 197 cams. Both showing that they're thinking ahead.

Been thinking about it non stop all day mate. MY wifes told me to keep it and finish it ''one day'' but there is no point. Everytime I open the garage I feel sick looking at it and I've got another track day coming up that i'll have to use another car for and that in itself pisses me off.
