I thought it was just the GPS signal that was effected by the screen, thought the UV coating had no effect on the laser going through.
The number plate sensor will always be a better option as that's wear they are said to aim.
Welcome to CS.
I wish they had done the 182 in flame red as I really would have gone for it. Love that colour on the 172.
Do a search in the media area there are a few on here.
As for reliability issues there are a few issues that seem to be common for all 172/182 models, some...
Yeah it was Liam.
I did that upgrade to mine, after seeing it posted on here a while ago, That one worked no problem. I guess this latest will probably be along the same lines.
Yeah used the rubber matts since new and kept the origionals un-used as when the car arrived it never had the clips to hold them down. They are so much easier to keep clean.
The seat covers are not meant to be used due to the side airbags really as you say, I guess it will effect them working...
I had some chips away work done on my 205 GTi looked worse after than it did before.
Ask around in your local area to see what reputation the local guy has. This is what as others have said it comes down to - the guys who actualy does the job.
I think that Black Gold maybe a tricky colour...

I hate car parks.
Tar remover probabaly wont touch it to be honest I would try a mild polsih like Autoglym Super Resin first, and move to something more abbrasive if that doesnt work, maybe Meguiars Scratch X or Autoglym Paint Renovator.
Greatest drivers cars of the decade included all sorts though including stuff like a 550, 911, Zonda etc, a true hot hatch one would be fantastic. But like you say with everything getting on in ages finding a factory fresh example is one thing, let alone one the owners is going to let be...
Been out for a while I thought?
I have not used it but believe it is more of a chemical paint cleaner, than an abbrassive polish, I'd go for the Scratch X for deeper marks.
Depending what shape you paint is in, you may notice where you havent used it and where you have. I would work it a...
Panel at a time in straight lines. Work it till it is gone, this way the abbrassives break down, it starts of aggressive and breaks down to a finishing polish. You need to press hard and work it as it wont do anything other wise. Its hard work mind.
To get more even pressure use a folded...
I thought that Car of the year was about the whole package to be honest.
Very true on that point Mervin, even thought the 182 Cup came joint second last year it hardly got a mention.
I would love to see a mass hot hatch test, 205 GTi, MK1 Golf GTi, Williams. Escort RS Turbo etc V the New...
I had grown up with Pug hot hatches, (205, 309, 306) and had come to the time I fancied a change, the latest offerings from Pug rally didnt do it for my 307 Xsi and the dire 206 180. After test driving a few modern day hatches of various Marques (CTR, Golf, etc), I booked a test drive in the 182...
