Just caught up on this. Nice to see one being cared for again as think I said in your new user thread.
Column weld, wouldn't overly worry, if the weld breaks, it'll just go back to sloppy steering but ideally it does want doing a bit better. Column can be removed with subframe still on the car...
I don't think I have, it wasn't running for the first laps unfortunately.
I'll be back at Donington later in the year more than likely, I'll let you know... If I remember.. Lol
That was kind of my thinking, remove recaros and b14's and pull about 5k total ish ..... But just weighing up if in my head that's enough to part with it and not sure it is
This is very hypothetical but may be selling up some of my scrap, and the obvious choice to free some cash up is the oddy....

160k miles, belts and pretty extensive engine refresh with clutch, fluids, Aircon recommission etc etc about 2 years ago
Just passed MOT with worn...
What specific handling issues are you having and are you sure it's the tyres?
I've never really felt the ps3 don't offer enough sidewall for just spirited road driving, but you'll never find a road tyre that offers semi slick level of sidewall rigitiy. Road tyres will always be more compliant...
You'll never catch up then, we'll just pace it out.... although my plan is 250k this time next year and then trackday it again before 99p no reserve eBay sale
Oi what you trying to say, my RB is immaculat...... aha haha... sorry couldn't keep a straight face.
How many are on your BG then? I'm still rattling 16k ish a year so it'll take some catching
Sounds like duff alternator tbh, measure voltage from main wiring anchor on the alternator to battery neg, if that's still low then unlikely to be wiring.
