The Trophy from that list personaly. However to go off topic a little id definatley consider a Focus RS (mk1) Residual values are strong and have seemed to have coped well against the new FRS coming out. It IMO is the better car than most of the RenaultSport range and definatley worth a punt.

tbh with you if you take it really easy in any 172/182 you should in theory be able to get well in excess of 350 miles to a tank

In my old Phase 1 the most i managed to get from a full tank was 364 miles @ around 41-43 mpg

Turn the wheel left hand down so the rubber raises itself then try a little duck oil in and around the mount. IIRC the reason for the squeek/creaking is water gathering in the mount and causing rust etc

All those things you have listed are wear and tear? My only concern would be the engine but it seems to be holding up pretty well, why wouldnt it i suppose!
