Hoovered, new mats fitted, engine cover back on and new bumper with new fabia splitter all fitted and good to go.
Just a wash and some fuel and she's ready, oh and refit front plate when some velcro coins show up this week!
Cheers
Ben
As above, the ad08's are more road orientated. Get some Dunlop direzza or original version r888's for a more dedicated track car. Or cage it and get some full slicks for extra points
Right, decided about time dug this out for a spin soon. Since the mx5 sold last month the car is insured again, so mot booked for next weekend.
Today decided to rip the old bumper off to fit newly painted one and at same time clear the usual crap out the arches behind the liners etc.
So up in...
Just before lunch at Mallory, whilst negotiating the hairpin, I heard a metallic clunk and ping, but it down to tyre pickup as when I checked the car over nothing obviously amiss.
Drove to welwyn garden for work and back Monday/Tuesday and tonight just had time to swap back off the track pads...
So did Mallory Park on Saturday, car didn't skip a beat all day again and despite the age of the tyres managed to get some grip. Weather was kind aswell, lovely all day.
Mates k20 converted mk1 dropped a pulley on the aux system when I was in the car and spun us out when it overheated and spat...
The more I see the 16's the more I think they look over wheeled. 15" suits the phase 1 better.
All the scrap looks excellent though, hoarder next door to the extreme
Mallory Park on Saturday, weather was perfect for first trackday of the season and the little RB lapped it up all day.
On track pics will follow when available
I filed my f3 Mintex down and kept the shims and they're thus far silent and pretty aggressive on the road. Find out Saturday if they're worthy of track use too. Upto now though very impressed having come from cl rc6
They pop up from time to time, but late spec wagons with half leather and charcoal insert dash are uber rare. Plus still can't make my mind up if I want roof bars or not and that's a no change decision... Stupid alfa design department
Lovely cars, completely form over function and as such more than likely purchased with heart over head.
I will own a late spec 1.7tbi version one day, I yearn for one, lol
Enjoy
