Does it involve making one good car out of the two, selling the leftover bits and then effectively having a sorted & modded ph1 flamer that owes you nothing? I bet it does... ;)

Thats why I haven't bothered. I'll drive it until it or the tensioner gives up. Then I'll buy as secondhand engine and fit new dephaser, belt kit, water pump and clutch all at the same time. At least then it *should* be bomb proof for the forseeable future.

I really really like the matt/gloss black on this car. Painting it would be a massive massive shame.

I'd start with plugs, then leads. Honda's very very rarely go wrong so I would put money on it being a servicable item thats failed.

Unless you know someone with the same car (and can chop and change parts) then the cheapest way of fixing this is to replace cheapest bits first. Personally, I'd pay someone with proper equipment to diagnose it. Not some mickey mouse code reader.

I don't normaly agree with chip, but this spot on. It can look good on a £100k motor, but on anything else it looks pikey.

In my experience, 18 cold means about 30 hot. I ran 22 cold in mine and they went to 40 hot! lol.
