Anyone drove Pug 206RC or new GolfGTI

The 206 RC (GTi 180) over here felt no where as near as good as the 182, general opinion is nice seats though! I test drove one the day after testing the 182 and was not impressed. A far cry from Pugs of old. Have been out as a passenger in my friends new Golf GTi but not driven it yet. Alot...

    Meguiars - advice please

Stage 2 gives good look, but it has no real polishing power. PJVTS - I clay once or twice a year. Normally just in the spring to be honest. NXT is your sealant to seals in the shine from the polish and to protects. You either need to wax or seal after polishing, unless you use all in...

    Meguiars - advice please

1- Wash 2 -Clay 3- Megs Stage 1 Paint Cleaner 4- Megs Stage 2 Polish 5 -Nxt Wax. 6- Megs Stage 3 Carnuba Wax If you want to. You wont need the gold class wax. Myself I would, Wash, Clay, Stage 1 Paint Clean, Autoglym Super resin and then Nxt Wax x2, 24 hours between each coat.

Mine also worked fine there, but the laser detector wouldnt see over the wipers, I have the feeling this was the case for most people.

How to care for your clios paintwork

Leather is easy, Wipe down wipe a damp MF - 1Z Leather care or Zaino Z( & 10 for a naturaul factoy look. Dash and plastics - 1Z Cockpit Premium or Poorboys Natural Look, both impart a factory matt look. As for Alcantera. As long as its clean, all it needs is a damp MF. If not...

No point using Gold Glass over extra gloss, as it will remove the layer off extra gloss you just added. Extra gloss will aslso not bond to the Gold Class properly. My paint seems to have improved just by hand polishing so DCAP should smooth it a bit more.

    PC MAD!!!

Mine has a few dealer inflicted marks to remove, most came out by hand, still the odd one left. Will start off with #80 or SSR2 with a polishing pad and go from there. Should be ordering mine after pay day.

    PC MAD!!!

Most off these guys are hitting the paint with a fairly aggressive polish using the DCAP, you dont want to do it more than about once a year with that if you can help it. Has anyone started off more mild just with the #80 first? Hoping not to have to go to aggressive on mine straight away?

Like others have said if the paint is cracked, Paintless Dent Removal guys wont pop it back out as it will crack the paint more.

    182 vs 182 cup-which should i get

Do a search chap, been discussed loads on here. If you can live without the toys maybe the 182 is the car for you and save some cash. Its not as raw as the 172 Cup, both the 182 cup and the 182 with cup packs are very alike on the road.

    Micro Scratches

Meguiars does some plastic polish in there pro range which works well. I got some German stuff that works well from here http://www.iauto.co.uk/I-auto But the site is down and I dont have any details.

    Cleaning Car Tomorrow, Help

A fair bit off the commercial range can be grabbed at halfords. Wouldnt go wrong with some off the bits they sell. Quick Clay Kit, NXT wax and either NXT or Gold Class Car wash are worthy buys.

    Buying a 182

I prefer the cup wheels to the silver ones on all colours. The Light Blue colour is Racing Blue, Petrol Blue is the Flippy greeny blue ID Colour. EDIT beaten to it ^^^^^ [Edited by r-jay on 5/6/2005 11:43:32 AM]
