    Bro's Swift Sport

Wouldnt say much quicker tbh, the Clio will break 60 in 9.3 and the Swift in 8.7 Not earth shattering anyways!
  7. Poopensharten

    Radio>???

Not yet anyway. I think i turned it off at somepoint and now it has to be switched on manually. Also when the engine is turned off the radio stays on, total pain in the arse!

    Clio Crunch

I love this chant about re-mapping diesels, ask any Vag owner what they have replaced not much later than getting the Remap and the answer will normally be the clutch. So that cheap remap has turned into an expensive clutch. If Skoda intended the Fabia to be faster than 130bhp then they would...

    Help please knocking noise.

Good chance it could be the engine mounts, possibly steering rack related? Maybe check the suspension/top mounts

    Clio Crunch

Old story though, supply has far out stripped demand, this being the reason along with the running costs of a hot-hatch that doesnt appeal to people. Im not suprised to be honest.

    Clio Crunch

lol, are you kicking its hole in everywhere? By god, 32mpg? Im constantly getting 31 mpg all day long in the 172!

    Clio Crunch

Well lets face it, Tax is expensive on these and insurance is the mitigating factor in alot of these cars, and there not the most economical cars on the road! Im not suprised that trophy sold for £6500 the other week :o

    Buying a phase 2 172, right choice?

Absolutley, there good standard but even better with a good coil over set-up. I do miss how low my Saxo sat though it was very convincing through corner speed, (that was lowered 35mm) Still prefer the 172, its a laugh to drive all day every day!

Took my car here once for a Diagnostic check, think the lad drives a Astra VXR? Better putting the money towards a full Milltek system or somthing mate

    Buying a phase 2 172, right choice?

Welcome mate. I used to own a Saxo VTS and coming to the Phase 1 172 has been fantastic. As you have had your share of French engineering i think you know what to expect from the Clio Sport, there very capable and can be reliable if you find a cherished example. For £4k you will be able to...

    CSL Rebuilt

A man with taste indeed. I was up at Knockhill 2-3 years ago and there was a lad there with a purple one? He told me its a very rare example? I couldnt comment because i know not much about the BMW's? Also i think it was very tweaked as i was riding passenger in a 911 turbo and it was flying...

    Small Accident

+1 He will really have to kiss arse on this one. If the Merc driver decides that hes not happy with the bumper/spray job then hes obliged to report it to the insurance firm. Although im not sure once hes entered a verbal agreement of the lad to have it fixed privatley without insurance...
