Cheers! Is not sharp but it's not bad, I'd literally stepped outside and saw the little blighter sat on the conservatory sill so just got in and fired a shot quick. 1/80 wasn't fast enough so not pin sharp, ideally want 1/125 or quicker for live macro work and if you can f11 or narrower...
First time out in ages, rubbish settings but just nice to see something to fire a round off at tbh.
excuse the hosting, yet to sort out the flickr changing to yahoo mess and losing my account 😧
Bee, Fly, Fly
refitting a gearbox can be done single handedly on a drive with nothing but axel stands, however its not blummin easy I can tell you. Lying on the floor under the car with a gearbox on your chest is not a nice place to be, particularly if it takes several attempts to get the $$%£ on. Two man job...
Random update
Had a bad end to last trackday season and first day at Cadwell this year also. Basically I had been nursing a seriously bad vibration on hard right cornering. I couldn't replicate the issue easily on the road as I was unable to generate the grip I can on track with the slicks. As...
good work, nice bit of beta that. I'm not mega up on Williams stuff as I just ran all mine around as dailies until I sold them, were never projects so never changed wishbones
all I know is you need the 172 ball joint as well as the Williams item has smaller bolts and bolt holes
nothing is truly interchangeable, but you can bolt the whole 172 track onto a mk1. But mix and match it won't work due to bolt sizes, hub widths and other niggles. so a hybrid of both would be awkward.
@The Russian.
Not really matey, never been a massive CS monkey so more trains in the night I reckon ;)
And as mentioned by @loggyboy I'm more of a mk1 junkie, not really into the later ones, just cope, lol
Lol yep, 60d and 24-105, and cheers it's a cool little place, just happened across it whilst snooping for somewhere to take a pic or two :)
It has been on white wheels, but as you mention, overdone!
Ahahaha nice one @Daz.
And cheers Mr @makavelli I try to look after her, good little jalopy. The Badger bent ac rad and rs tuning map are both still going strong
That's what I sort of like about it, call it an early 30's crisis. Probably born out of nothing but silver or anthracite before (this cars had many sets of wheels on it and most lairy before was white, yawn)
lol, sell them, horrible things imo, took me a while to realise it as had a few sets
the pro race (1 or 1.2) are second choice, used to run them until I picked up enough superlegs to get rid of them, good wheel though but still over a kilo per corner heavier
don't go near 2118's imo, they weigh and absolute ton and look frankly a bit shite ;) stick with low unsprung for a track car, you'd only need gravel wheels for rallying
superlegs are strong as hell and very very light, pretty much ideal track wheel, its all I use on the track motor be it for...
agreed, had mine for pretty much spot on a year and just under 9k and its still lovely. the leather is just starting to wear in where I use it most, which means my OCD is now trying to even it out over the rest of the wheel! lmao
literally the best 140 quid I spent on the car that wasn't...
expecting the title to reflect peoples opinions of the car, me, I love it again :)
ktec induction fitted and RB engine cover as well
still looking okay for 130k imo
cheers
Ben
