what do people normally shoot in? picked up an old 350d on loan for a bit but only got small cards for it, 2x 256mb and am not buying more memory as its only a loan and its old format memory, so am i best off still stickin to RAW or just kick the jpegs out at a lower size and have more pics? the...

hey matey, the rears used too till i fitted fixed seals, the front do but only into the doors where it drains out the bottom again, left it out in torrential rain a few times, no wet seats or anything....well apart from due to fappin sunroof leaking.lol

why learn to walk, straight in for the run mate as my main interest is the night pic capabilities, night hdr is the ultimate aim with a few yers practise and when i get the monies for a decent bracketing camera etc

its a canon eos 1000d, standard efs 18-55mm non stabilised lens set at 18mm and i was just playing about on the 'M' setting for iso's etc and manual shutter/exposure on the button its not my camera, i was just gettin a feel for SLR's for when i buy one in next month or so, so i just nipped...

nope, and the lens is a standard one aswell, not an image stabiliser

equivalent canon is the eos 1000D, which if u check media i've had a play of my house mate with on manual tonight, with erm, mixed results but then again this was literally my first ever play with a SLR

in the standard 18-55mm packages aswell the d60 comes in at 380 odd over 250 for the d40 but with the 60 you get the VR lens aswell, so am thinking i can afford the extra 130 quid for a decent setup thats a bit more future proof maybe?

oh and wheres the best place to buy new?

worth the extra few quid for 10 megapixel or not?? also i presume the lens' are all interchangeable over the nikon dslr range? cheers Ben
