    Accelerator Boost Button on 172's??

They all have it. Suppose it saved on production costs to fit them all with it rather than just some.

    Worthwhile mods for a 172

Change the seats and the steering wheel. Sit lower, stop trying to turn a ship.

I can, but I can also see where he's coming from. He enjoys modifying more than going fast, so this is the answer! Me personally, i'd have gone down the Turbo route, but I can 100% understand his point of view.

I personally love using them as daily drivers. (Probably why I have the mk1 van, Williams 2 and the valver! lol) The seats are the most comfortable seats ever produced, they''re easy to drive, they have enough power, they sound lovely... I just really really like them.

Take a magnet aswell and try it on all the sills/arches. The amount of Clio rear ends with filler instead of proper repair panels is upsetting!

    What a load of b0llocks.

It does look very nice! My best bit of advice though, is take someone who knows Williams/Clio 16valvers. I don't mea Bob from the pub who once serviced his mates 1.4 Automatic CLio either! If you know what you're looking for, you can spot problems a mile off. (I'm mainly aiming this at rot...

    cambelt .. 36k milage

Not really. I hear it all the time from people who have low mileage 10 year old cars and moan that their cambelt has snapped. ''But the cars only done 40,000 miles, its not due until 72k....'' People can't comprehend that their entire engine relies on a rubber band. A rubber band that...

Yes. Off the front, just by the throttle body? It only does it for about 2 mins, then its perfect.

Me again... :( The fcuking chugging from cold has started again. The new fuel pump 'seemed' to have cured it for all of about 2 weeks and now its doing it again. Any ideas??

    Fabric spray?

I personally wouldn't use it on seats and never have done. Imagine your mum getting in with her best white church frock on and the dye soaking into it.... She'd kick your ass!

    Fabric spray?

To be honest, theres no point in wasting time/money trying to salvage a carpet thats f**ked. You're much better off replacing it. Sand isn't an issue as you can just dye the whole thing black. But if theres crustations of crap everywhere, you're flogging a dead horse. With the amount of...

    Fabric spray?

The fizzy drink comment scares me... If theres a crappy shiny hard piece of carpet, it will look 10 times worse once dyed as it will then be uber shiny. Your best bet is to fit a secondhand carpet from another car. (If you got one out of a ph2 172 then its a much better quality of carpet, I...
