Fitted my green induction kit last night.
Wow! I nearly shot my load when i heard the sound on it! hehe :)
Ive swapped from a k&n panel filter and would never go back now! Cant stop smiling when i put my foot down! :) Sounds like a bad tempered lion!
I should say really its Elephant! Dont bother if you gunna mod your car they a pain!
I wasn't going to declare it but i got so paranoid from reading stuff on this forum that i just mentioned it, told them what it was, and that i wouldn't expect it to affect my policy. I also told them it was...
There's no way id declare fitted options to my car. The companies just want your money! Ive just paid 50 pound on my premium for a front splitter for god's sake! Wish id never said anything, but was a bit paranoid about telling them id taken it offwhen i found out when i hadnt. They absolutely...
Sorted now i told them it was a front splitter. What i should of said is its a front spoiler, as they have that on thier computer.
They told me i had to declare it as a bodykit last night which would put £70 on my premium! I phoned back today and told them i wasn't happy and asked them if it...
Sorry i didnt mean insure the front splitter, my company doesnt cover the cost of mods. I just meant they wont insure my car with a front splitter fitted as its made of carbon fibre!! Plus they dont know what it is anyway!
This is ridiculous they have no idea what it is even though ive explained a million times, but just because its made of carbon fibre they wont insure it!
Taken out a policy with elephant for £1126 (10 mnth bonus accellerater) after phoning them. Pretty good i think as im 23 with 0 ncb.
I had an absolute nightmare getting quotes from loads of companies as my registration wasnt coming up on their computers and when i said year of manufacture was...
Hi what are good companies to get qoutes from for a 23 yr old, no ncb, on a 172.
My insurance is being renewed nx week and as im now the main driver its going in my name.
My cheapest qoute is £1400 from elephant.
Im sick of giving all my details which takes ages then told they wont insure me!
I know, they pretty vague tho. And im just panicking about getting it lined up perfect dont wanna mess it up and it looks quite tricky to get right! :-)
The instructions say a 4mm hole in the splitter and a 2mm pilot hole in the bumper i assume thats to give u a little bit of play before you tighten the screws right up tight on the splitter?
Yeah was thinking about taping it on first. Tape it on with duck tape? Is it paint friendly? :-) Also do i have to worry about the bumper/splitter splitting when drilling?
