Thats what its all about mate. As long as you're happy thats all that matters.
I was just pointing out that they are a bit conservative in their figures.
L.A.D are a bunch of porkie pie tellers!
I know a guy who bought a ''LAD tuned'' 205 mi16 and apparently it had 190hp. He drove it for about 6 months, then went on a rolling road shootout at Powerstation (who over read a little anyway!!) and it made 134hp.
Bunch of cowboys.
Rev counter.... slightly more difficult. We're all using a resistor (10k i believe, I have a spare I'll send on when you're ready for it) attached in a 'pull-up' method. Need to locate the rev wire at the back of the clocks (i'll check haynes if youre struggling), splice into it and solder one...
If its sat for that long, i'd make sure you go over it with a fine tooth combe!

I could have bought a minter one of these for £800 not long ago and i'm kicking myself I never did. Will be worth a pretty penny in a few years I think.
(Standard obv, not an ex touring car for £800! lol)
Get a picece of fishing line or similar and get it behind the plate and 'saw' through it.
Clean it all up with white spirit andbobs your monkhouse.
(Failing that, bea man and pull harder?? ;))
A small thing to consider,
If you'd have paid this bill by credit card, you can file a dispute with your credit card company who will recoup your costs until the argument is settled.
Always something to bear in mind when paying for stuff on your car.
