Mines completely dry.
I've looped the pipes round so its a sealed unit, but its bone dry. Not heavy at all.
I'm told that if the rack is full of fluid and it has no power assistance, thats what makes it heavy. Mines not even remotely heavy.
Been using them for years. Can't fault them. (And the delivery girl is so hot I get the hardest erection when she pulls up at work. And she smells simply divine...)
Hold on.
Your 172 standard rack isn't electric is it. Its hydraulic. I'm running a Williams hydraulic rack dry with the pipes looped to eachother. Surely you can do the same on yours??
I've had greenstuff on my 200 Turbo and the pads disintegrated.
I've had Yellowstuff on my M3 and they faded within about 25 yards.
I've not bothered with Redstuff as they clearly coudn't make the greens or yellows properly.
The wheels are stained??? They're not stained, you just haven't washed them!
Infact, looking back (pic 2) you haven't even bothered to wash the windscreen!!
In my personal experience Renault Engines don't like being taken apart. Everybody i've known (Bear in mind I used to work for renault!) who has taken the engine apart and started fiddling has ended up having problems.
Mine has done 36,000 miles has FSH and will not be coming apart.
The only things that have briken on mine are the original valver bits that were left over.
Fuel pump, washer bottle pump and a split rear brake line.
Everything else has been A ok!
