    Starting problems.

    What happened on the dash did the red light go off? Did any of the dahs come on? Was there any power for the stereo etc?

    This is a Renault the Frenchies don't build things like the Germanys (not always a negative). If the Germans had built the car it wouldn't be the same personality which I feel is great even if you have to accept there comprimises.     Full throttle. I' go for say 2k to 7k personally but so long as you've been at full throttle around where max torque is made that just as good.

    You can remove the wheels remove at arch liner and reach a lot of it from there. You'll probably end up removing the bumper though although its no big issue.

    I know of a number of car with decat which have passed MOT's they should have one fitted I'm not 100% sure they have to have one fitted to pass though so long as emmisiosn are within tolerance most cars won't as there not remapped to account for the decat.

    What the keck did they do I'm guessing they set the cams wrongly when they put the belt back ie its 100% there fault and they should pay for all repairs. Still I'd not pay that much go to get a new 182 engine for £1.2k then £400 or so fitment. However there repairing the engine so the costs...

    I'd say 6.5k at least 5k though. Personally I'd chnage the engine oil at about 1k and then ever 6k ie once between ever service as it does make a difference. I'd also chnage the gearbox oil for Millers or Purple blue after a few K if you intend to keep it or want the best. You don't have to...

    Good dealership that one I take my car there. least i belive they will service the car and give you a straight answer. Don't let them change your pads though you cna do it yourself dead easy job 40 minutes start to finish if your taking your time. Come down to the meet on Sunday at Cheshire Oaks.

    No problems. I'd try and find a garage preferably one with a heater etc. My cars still sitting in a local garage broke as its to cold to go work down there.

    The strips were an optional extra same as for the normal car 9only in the blue colour) Recars seats Metalic paint. CD changer although this wasn't offical its dealer fit. The 172 Cup didn't have ABS the 182 did.

    The new RS won't have Brembos they were just for the demo car. Later specical edition model might have brembos but I don't imagine they will. the new car does look good though.

    35 or so I think but I do a fairly long drive to work every day on relitivtly emply 60mph roads all the way.

    No problem. I'd say the'd chnage you for 40 minutes to more likly 1 hrs labour. so say £30~40 depends on your locla garage they my charge £50 an hour labour.

    Yep easy to do. just make sure you don't try jacking the whole gearbox and engine up your only jacking to remove the weight so the engine and box are in the same place when you stick the new mount in place.

    Combined with a DIY modified engine mount on the drivers side it does make the car shake a bit at idel but it make the whole engine and gearshift tighter.

    £40 for shocks each. You can chnage them in 10 minutes no need to even jack the car up or remove a wheel.

    So long as your plugs have been put back in right there no issue. Probably best you do go easy not for a bit forver else you'll loose your licence.

    Clio Mk2 alarms

    Its a problem with the alarm having problems locking as the electics are on. Its a dealer fix problem andy good dealership should know of the problem or be able to fix it its just down to the way there set up. I'd get it done asap as I'm a bit picky but its not huge issue.

    No need to chnage them maybe some lock thread would help but unless you get you cars front wheels off the ground flying round I don't see any point new ones don't have any lockligns tuff. The chance of them falling out is about the same as getting 6 numbers on the lottery ever time for a year...

    What are the Mk2 1.6 16v RSi's like?

    There one of the rarest Clios ever made. There are other 1.6 16V models though the dynamic is more common and more modern the RSI spec was only in the Mk2 phase 1 I think. Stiffer suspension well its all relitive aftermarket stuff would be trulely suffer even the sporty RS arn't very stiffly...

    Personally I'd get a full fat 182 with Both Cup packs and get some expensive suspension (Leda) fitted. or if I wanted to save some more money a late reg 172 with Leda coilovers and get some 182 hubs fitted.
