Yep its a common part.
If moneys a bit tight get some Halfords one there 1/2 the price there not good when driving hard but if you drive carefully you'll save the money for good pads.
Now thats nice Fred.
Might as well junk the ABS setup now to save weight.
Jon how come your using a garbox the size and weight of that I thourght you were staying normally aspirated?
If you have a Mk2 2 ir with triagular like lights its 58mm some early 1.2's and some 1.4's had 52 and 54mm respectifully but 99% have the 58mm hubs.
If you have a mk2 1 ie with the more rounded lights them its most likely 52mm.
What bodge have u come up with are you just mounting the engine further forwards or ar you going to butcher the car?
What about extra mounts?

I'd deem them as modifications but there no need to then again I'd change the suspension anyway so it would be modified.
I think Renault Uk don't deem them as a modification though so no need to tell insurance as its a UK spec normal car for a dealer.
Theres advantages to both personally I'd go either a very late Mk2 or a Mk1.
The Mk1 has the manual throttle body which is better for response less elctrics to go wrong better suspension setup as standard (subjective though) less weight (well a bit less).
You can get Mk1's for £4k which is...
Spolier and bumper you cna do yourself doesn't take long and you've learnt somehting new for free.
You an fit the suspension yourself or get people on the forum who will do it for £40 or so.
Exhaust you can do yourself if its a proper one it will bolt straight on don't get a garage to do it...
There not much £40 or so probably.
Easy to chnage them though only a few bolts to do.
The gearbox side is more work as you have to remove the battery etc but its not huge.
At a dealer you looking at about 6.5k.
However in a years time it will be worth about 4k so that a big hit realy.
To give you and idea they paid about £4.5k for it.
Have a look on autotrader there 05 plate cars with under 10k for £5995.
Even Renault delaers are selling them 54 reg with under...

Thats the proper guide even Renault dealerships and brocures are wrong and they still print them wrong. The new Clio service book says 18k/1yr for service wheras its 18k/2yrs.
One of the problems is that in other countries they have different rules depending on the...
Joshydee they don't understand them obviously you want the same pads as the 5GTT 1.8 16V Mk1 and Williams use.

Just checked Renault sport they seem to say that becase the Williams is so good and have classic rally and race heritage they'll grant them better than RS status. There just upset the Mk2's let there racing heritag down they said something about the desingners giving up after creating...
