    Meet Mia The Mini

So jealous, I really want an old Mini as a project, I know sod all about them but I think it would be a good car to learn rudementary mechanics on. They're also cool as f*ck!

I've got a connector that doesn't connect to anything

I just started the car and the lights came on instantly, I also poured some water on the sensor and the wipers worked straight away. Christ knows what it's for, whatever it is I don't seem to need it.

I've got a connector that doesn't connect to anything

Oh yeah good point, :o where's the bloody light sensor then? I know the wiper sensor is under the mirror, is the light sensor in the same place then?

I've got a connector that doesn't connect to anything

Good point, i'll have to see if my lights come on in a bit when it gets dark.

I've got a connector that doesn't connect to anything

Sweet, I was planning on going back to the 90s and see if I could find my dignity, I think I left it at a party while I was on acid.

I've got a connector that doesn't connect to anything

Oh sh*t, that means my flux capacitor won't be working!!!

I've got a connector that doesn't connect to anything

I was refitting the interior light console and seem to have a spare connector that doesn't go anywhere. I've plugged the light connector back in and put the climate control sensor back in it's place, but this just seems to be spare. Could it be for something on another model that my car...

The American Dream - My Knight Rider KITT Project :-)

Ohh nice, are you keeping the rims gold or are you changing them to silver like the TV car?

Some pictures of the CS at the FCS :)

When i'm no longer poor I was going to get some pro race 3s, I was originally going to get pro race 1.2s but decided against it, seeing yours had made me want 1.2s again.

    What's this thing?

^^^That is indeed a pig! Sweet, cheers dude. :approve:

    What's this thing?

Ah right, so if I spray the housing with satin black paint and basically block the holes with the foam behind, will my climate control not know when it's reached the correct temperature?
  13. DaveDreads

    What's this thing?

As above, I have no clue what this thing is. It sits under the holes on the right, there's foam under it and i'm a bit worried about it getting blocked with satin black paint.

Who said clios were expensive to insure?!

What!!!? I'm 37 and pay £450 fully comp with 9years protected NCB. I guess 200s are a hell of a lot cheaper to insure than a 10 year old 172.

    Pastiemans ph2 172

I love the interior, i'm in the process of pulling bits of my trim off to give them a coat of satin black, do you have any pics of the door cards, have you had the door handles painted black aswell? Also how did you get the internal light housing off just pull, or is there a special way of...

ABS, ESP & serv light on all the time

Yep, i'm not sure how it's done but I think it's just remove and replace tbh.

ABS, ESP & serv light on all the time

Yep, they don't like having dirty ring-pieces, you may need a new one if a clean and lube doesn't do the trick.

Mk1 Golf in brief so far

    PlastiDip UK?

Those greys look pretty good actually.

ABS, ESP & serv light on all the time

More than likely a dirty ABS sensor, my CV gaitor split a few years ago and coated the whole ABS cable on one side, it knackered it and needed replacing, the ABS unit stores separate fault codes from the ECU, proper Renault diagnostic software should be able to switch it off. Or an up to date...

please watch this vid ... mick you too lol my starting problems

The day a 1*2 starts and runs without any funny quirks or weird noises, is the day Satan snowboards to work.

West Mids Rolling Road - Saturday 9th of June

I going to assume their rollers were broken when we were there as mine should be running 222bhp, well that's the figure I get when I add together all the manufacturers stated gains on top of 172bhp. That's how it works isn't it? That's how they do it on ebay so it must be right. :clown:

What have you done to your car today ???

Went to work in it and watched it tick over onto 85k miles just as I pulled onto my drive.
  25. DaveDreads

Will this work on a Mk2 Clio?

I'm in the process of trying to lift the 172s interior a bit, i'm spraying bit's of trim satin black and while I was searching for bits and pieces on ebay I found this...

All The Silver 182s & 172s, Get Your Pics Up :)

My Eibachs sit a bit lower at the back than yours, but I do have a full sized spare and jack in the boot, so I guess that helps. lol
  29. DaveDreads

    Stickers instead of badges?

The only thing I could think of would be to stick/tape some card or thin metal to the inside of the boot and fill the holes with silicone sealant in the hope of smoothing it out.
