Exactly what i was thinking to mate about the silicone absorbing the sound.Ideally a nice S shape stainless pipe from the throttle body to the filter would be great @haimsey

Yeah defo mate,i thought that was a good price he gave and thats inc postage. Still think to put a new metal pipe on instead as im sure it sounds better and flows better or 45 degree silicone bend.

So on the way to work this morning i gave it a bit of beans to see if any difference.To be honest theres not much difference,if anything i think its louder rasper with the metal pipe on,i was half asleep tho.So will test again on the way home,any how looks much better and a new filter rather...

I still think it sounds better with the metal pipe.

Prob doesnt help with me taking it on and off a few times,but still should last.Lucky the ktec has a metal end. Im thinking now whats better 90 degree bends or 45 degree??

Its been a while since posting anything,but today i changed all my induction system. I noticed that my induction system and filter started to look old and tatty,so i decided to buy a new set up. Two new blue silicone bends and i also wanted to change the filter but to something different to...

Cool,have to look into what little route to take and where to end up at. So will look into options and feel free to all put down what roads to go on and go to?,maybe best to start another thread soon with this to.

What about trying to sort a little day road trip/drive on one weekend?,be cool to see all the cars together on the road and get some decent rolling photos? get @Dr Jekyll with his skills and any other keen photographers.

Yeah im going to get in contact with ram air and measure the gap behind headlight,see if i can get one a bit bigger to what i have now.

I already have the fatty set up and to me it sounds better with the alloy tube than just all silicone,i may just get the ktec filter.

No reason really as mine is a bit tatty now and just looking at trying a different one. ktec is to expensive really is it not just for a filter?,prob get another ram air if i cat find anything.

Anyone using any other filter rather than the Ram Air/Pipercross one?,im looking to replace mine with Green cotton,jetex or even itg but they are exspensive.
