    GDI tried this I belive but with a standard 2.0 and they kept ruining the gearbox as it wasn't strong enough. You'll have to either stick with the 1.4 or accept a manaul boxed car or have fun trying to get a 2.0 8V laguna engine and box (your best bet) inot the car but its a big enging and box...

    timing belt 172

    Its 72k/5yrs but I'd chnage it at 60k personaly for piece of mind. Its not cheap to do so if it does brek you can get a new engine fitted for not much more than the belt change would have cost anyway.

    Clio 182 Turbo

    Personally I'd recomend getting rid of the 182 engine and going to either a VAG 1.8T or a Megan 225 engines as they have better gearboxes and built for turboing. Throttle bodies your looking at 210~220hp for any more your going to need cams and head work which pushes the bill to the prices...
