Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Evening Jordan, you rude fucker. ;)
I've searched your thread but its got beyond stupid now! lol.
Alternators.....
I've got the 172 alternator fitted in mine, but what did you do about a tensioning bracket??? I've sold the old valver engine and bits so...
When the engine was replaced, did they replace all the filters etc?
Normally when they replace an engine they will just be supplied with the lump, not all that goes with it.
Got to be worth giving it a full service first before you chuck a load of money at it??
I'm sending mine away to get the inside done.
I'll have a bash at most things but that is far too much like effort. Loads of masking/prepping.... God, i'm getting bored of it already! lol.
£3800?!! I nearly choked on my brew then!!
Christ alive.
I just sold a mint (and I do mean factory mint) completely standard example for £2500! Every service bill/invoice from new.
I know a s**t hot guy that machines all sorts.
He just made my mates custome spacers for his Clio, and machined my 172 hubs to fit the valver.
Ring me later and I'll pass you his details.
Me personally, I'd want the 200 as I do a few track days. f**k taking a Vee!!
BUT a V6 is on my list of the next 4 cars to have, hopefully before xmas :D
I'm quite close to there, but far enough away to never have to venture up there! lol.
There is only one good garage in kingswood, got the best reputation going, all the others are fly by night gangsters that are just dodging the taxman.
Like I said, Its a f**king dump.
