Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
You're a legend mate.
Did you just use that Muc-off stuff? I've been using the strongest degreaser I can get my hands on and its rubbish. Spent about 2 hours on it today and it still looks shite!
Take them all off and make sure there is no s**t stuck inbetween the spacer/hub or the spacer/wheel.
It won't affect the balance of the wheel, so will more than likely be an ill-fitted spacer.
Have you put longer bolts in??? If not, the bolts could be working themselves loose and a loose...
I would have had another 197 if it wasn't for the Bambino.
I absolutely love them.
I had a Nimbus with Climate/Xenons/Roof/Multi cd. No cup suspension though as this was in 06.
I had 4 ( i think) company 197's covering about 3000 miles in each and I can honestly say that handling is deffinately not an issue!
I'd get the car looked at tbh mate.
I think its a step down from the R32, but a good step if that makes sense.
By that I mean your R32 was awesome. You have got rid to save money but are still able to have fun in a tidy looking motor.
(But I personally hate CTR's with a passion! lol)
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
My god!
My car is going to look s**t compared to this! If we ever meet at FCS or whatever, i'm parking on the other side to you!
I used to work with a guy who LOVED vauxhalls. Like he wanted to marry them or something.
I could've turned up in a Rolls Royce but he'd still insist his Cavalier Sri (this was years ago mind! lol) was built better, handled better and drove better.
In fact, I think he owns a Vectra Gsi...
I don't see the point in having a cup tbh.
s**t interior, s**t plastics, the worst steering wheel known to man and will be dire resale in 2/3 years time.
Either get a normal 197, R27 or a 197 with cup packs.
