So that means that 172 suspensions mods ie springs would fit a Cup no problems?. I reciently saw a Cup suspensions springs set for sale trying to say that theyre fitted the Cup only so I take it there were talking rubish then?

Can someone please tell me what brakes are on the Clio Dynamic (new shape). I belive there 1.8 16V pads but I dont want to buy them and find out that they dont fit as you cannot return brake pads bought in error.
Thanks

I imagine Renault are going to use the turbo engine for the new Clio. The will Increase the boost though.
The engine will most likly be very different than the 172 engine a turbo runs a lower compression ratio so a 172 would need lower compression pistons also the engine is probably going to...
The new Clios have 185/55/15 tyres
The 15 tyres have a circumference of 119.4
The 17 tyres have a circumference of 127
So theres about a 6.5% difference in the wheels.
So 30mph on the clock with 152 = 30 mph
With 17 at an indicated 30 you would be doing 31.9 mph

Dont let Renault body shops have a go with your car get someone who knows what there doing. Im sure someone on this forum will know of a good bodyshop to take your car to in your local area.

Renault did lower the 172 cups from what the 172 was (3mm I belive). However I guess Renault decided it was best to keep a reasonable ride height for the cup to stop damage to the car whilst driving over speedbumps.
Lowering the Cup should increase the handling due to the better C of G however...
Have you tried hittin the noisy part opf the car I have had trouble with the dash rattling reciently so I hit it and that shut it up.
The regards the noise form the glove box put a large heavy item in there my pile of CDs ratte like mad when they were in there but a pile of junk papers from...
Ive heard some bad things about the aftersale on the superchip. So I wouldnt recomend them. A Custome remap would be the best idea every engine is different so one modiffied chip setting be it via Superchip or whatever company doesnt exploit these fully.
EDD
Not many people have there 1.2 remapped.
You wont get much more power as the engine is N/A. The only power increse will be minimal. The advantages will be in torque and drivability. But £350 seems a bit steep for that little extra power delivery.

The Cupra R is coming there will be two engine options I belive either a 150hp diesel or a 210hp 1.8T petrol.
I would imagine the diesel is going to sell better as it has 200hp and 300lb torque with just a chip. The petrol will hit 270hp and 260lb torque with a chip as well. The extra 70hp has...
Loads of Clios have that air recirculation its supposed to be for use in heavy trafffic it means that the air used in the cabin is recirculated all the time ie new fresh air.
Its just another button and something Renault can put on there standard options list I have never used it.

I have to say the brakes arnt that bad. I have learnt to take it easy on the roads after crashing the Clio.
The Clio isnt as good a car for driver feedback as my old escort so I have to take it easier but its brakes didnt fade going for a hard drive where as I managed to fade the brakes on...
Liverpool Victoria also allow for unlimted engine mods as long as the CC doesnt change I belive. Also unlimited exterier changes. I will have to check though I can feel a remap coming soon. Or better still see how much more they want for a 172 insurance instead.

An NSX will be nearly impossible to insure I would imagine its an incredable car and must be in the top 2 cars I want to own.
If you want to see how good it is check out http://www.getawayinstockholm.comwww.getawayinstockholm.com or search on kaza for the movie number 3. They take the NSX to...

With Liverpool Victoria / Frizzell (its a union sort of deal) they gave me unlimited milage and business cover though as well and didnt ask if the car was...
Im sure the Williams was a 1.8 16V bored out with bigger pistons and a 1.9D crackshaft for more stroke.
Id say you should get it for £1500. The miage doesnt seem to be a big problem the engine is very strong and since it has been used as a shopping trolley wear will be less than a boy racer...
The RS3 is due out I belive that will be stunningly fast its getting a 3.2 with twin turbos tunned to 350hp I belive with AWD and a reasonably light body it will fly. Plus as its turboed you can always get a remap to turn the boost up for very little (well in comparison to a N/A car)
Also all...

You should be able to get an old cupra R for about 15~16k and the new and old ones share the same engine the mapping is the only difference so a remap from Revo would give the same power advantage. Alo there isnt to many changes so your not loosing out massivly.
EDD
I have to agree with the Leon R excellent car and Revo chipping take them to 270hp alone.
How about a 3 liter Clio there is one 02 reg one on autotrader. (group 17)
Porche there loads
Toyota Celica 190 (the engine is going in the lotus elise) (group 16)
X type Jag (14-17 group insurance)...
According to the Renault garage my front brakes are 75% worn. So I need some new one. I take it that there not difficult to fit?
Also where is the best (read cheapest) place to get new pads from? I cannot see having a different type of pads than Renault use having any sort of affect on warenly...
I think its £1k with Torsion Tunning but Im not sure. That wouldnt include any other work just them making the car standard and you have to supply an engine for that much.
EDD
Another £500 and this could be yours.

Gary Brown had his car superchipped (loads of delaers all over the Uk) an it seems to be quicker on the 1/4 mile. Best to search for a post he has done on the subject.
