The gearbox should be fine.
However the Willaims gearbox is stronger then the 16V one it uses stronger parts from the 19 diesel engine. So be careful. Can you not get hold of the williams box as well? Its easier replacing the box now for the Williams one rather than possible having to replace...
There will most likly be a bigger intercooler.
Im interest though to find out what they have done to it any chnace of any insider news?
The engine stock internals should be good for the power without a problem.
Im thinking remap the 105dci and youll have 125~hp and 200lb toruque which is...
Yepe this is apparently true. You dont get your no claims if you leave after the yrs free insurance but if you get insurance out with them for the second year then after that yr they will give you your yrs NCB bonus. However there rates arnt good as mentioned above. Plus if you mod the car you...
DI you wait for a few seconds when you turned the key to the start setting if you wait for some of the lights to go out it may start.
The 1.2s had some problem with this maybe the 172 has similar problems. It needed new ECU maps to fix it under warently

I think any mods affect the arently unless they are but on the car at the factory or buy the dealer ie alarms cd player etc.
The Rsport ECU is I belive made by Renaultsport but invalidates the warently (but you could always remove it if any problems occure quickly)
EDD
Dont forget to tell the insurance company about the mods. You may be able to remove the exhaust and airbox quick but if you crash the car and wake up in hospital then there no chance of removing them before the investigator comes round to tell you that you werent insured as your car is modded.
EDD
Yepe I agree with you about the 97hp being a bit high but the owner said thats what it did on the rollers at the superchips place.
The 1.5 will always be relivivly slow its a small engine but being a turbo means more power is alaiable unlke the 1.2 16V
The 65 gives about 70hp as diesel seem...
They dont achually give you no claims they give you a quote IF you had been dring since your 17.
There quote are way to much though anyway (well mine was although I had claimed) I got quoted £1.7k after a crash by them and got it for 850 in the end with Liverpool Victoria.

Bigger cross sectional area so more air can flow into the engine.
More air (assuming fuel flow is up to it) = more power
The standard car manifolds are resticltive so removing the restriction means less wasted power (pressure) trying to overcome the restriction on a small manifold.
Also a...
Get a big pipe and run it from the exhaust manifold out ot the back of the car.
Cheap as chips but be carful with remaps you dont want to get pull for pumping out black smoke every where.
Not to many exhaust though best get one made up for the car.
There was someone on the forum a while...
1.2 bar are you mad the standard engine wont stand up against that or I will be suprised if it does.
1 bar means twice the normal air pressure think about it the engine pistons are now under twice the pressure plus a bit more assuming you are going to increase fueling.
Any intercooler is...
Your free insuranc policy wont allow for any performance mods.
The 1.2 could be make to make 100 Hp with cams, remaps, exhaust and intake mods but is it really worth it?
The warrantly states anything you mod isnt warentied and anyhting which the mods affect isnt warenteed so a ai filter mod...
If its anything like my wheels were on you will need something better than the standard little spanner is capable of.
Go get a decient one from Halfors or something.
Garages seem to put them on with an airgun and the standard spanner isnt good enough to loosen then.
If the spanner ist...
Its a risky business as so few people have done it.
Are you going to just put a bigger head gasget on it or do a proper job and get low compression pistons and all.
So few cars you hear of are aftermarket tuboed on small CC engine so its seen as risky as theres so little info out there
The...
Private sale will get you the most money but more hassle than selling to a dealer.
I would guess £6.5 ~7k if its a Dynamic or higher spec
any lower spec (and I guess at is at £9300 list price) then £6 ~ 6.5
Good luck selling it if you have to. Why you selling it though?

You should have no problems with getting a car at 21 there right there garage insurance seems to not to cover for under 21 driving courtesy cars. But ring up your insurer saying its in for warently work and theyll cover you for free usualy on a courtesy car.
Then tell the garage you have...
Engine transplant for mailto:£1.5@~£2k">£1.5~£2k I guess would be a good value drop a GTT engine or 2 liter into the car.
Depends how much you want to spend and how insurance is for you.

The calipers may need oiling or adjusting.
Get a Haynes manaul of the car itshould tell you how to check them.
Make sure it covers 2 litre models though as they arnt covered in the normal Clio book unfortunatly.
EDD
Tell her she can have the toys but you a 172 with a new exhaust, remap and air filter along with some CUP wheels. So you can have the extra performance of a cup and still keep warm in summer and have a spare tyres for when a can of foan doesnt work.
EDD
Nitrous oxide or NOS as most people call it.
The engine should be fine with a 25 wet system. More power than a decat and airfilter and chip and cheaper.
EDD
Yes but the Golf will weight loads more than the Clio most likely 1500kg, so having 240hp wont be enough to embarise the Clio with only 180 or so HP
Renault may being out a new Clio turbo with the new shape Clio but I wouldnt imagine they wouldnt give it 240hp. Cars with loads of HP and FWD...
Dont do it I did to save having to pay out for 2 new tyre and because of it it cost me about 1K as it was one of the reasons I crashed my car.
The Clio needs all the grip it can at the back there is no weight back.
Dont be mad change them for new ones and then swop the front and rear round...
Arrr well proved wrong again. I would have thought that the police would procecute if you dont have valid insurance. Also if you crash and they found a huge uninsured turbo and had 3rd party damage they have under law to pay for that but would try and recover the cost by taking you to court...
