Diesel Clio boxes should be able to withstand some more power as there stronger built. But 350lb you manybe better getting a gearbox of a more powerul car ie 2.2 DCI But he will be higher geared the diesel box meaning 80 in second maybe. EDD

The 80hp has an intercooler plus a pressure release valve on the turbo and a bigger fuel pressure pump (the thing that gives pressuised fuel to the injectors) the injectors and everything else are the same. You should be able to do a good job on your own get some touch up paint and then go to a model shop and get a very fine paint brush and use that to apply the paint.Then use loads of t coat and other scratch stuff to clean up and match the old and new paint and youll never notice it. EDD

The difference is the type of mounting I didnt think 16V had different types of brakes on them when I went to get replacments from Halford (dynamics use 16V pads) there was only one type listed for the 16V which were Girling ones. EDD

The wording of the warently means that whatever you modify isnt valid So if you put lower suspension on it then any suspension realted issue isnt covered. However some garages seem to be ok with mods and repalace parts if they fail due to a manurfacturing fault even if the cars modded...

Small car (Clio) with the biggest engine you can get cheap. Why waste your time tuning a little engine when a more poweful engine can be had. Get a V8 or something in a Clio EDD

Drop a R5 turbo engine in there. £1k for fitting and you supply the engine. There are a few companies which do the engine tranplant I belive. Modding the 1.4 isnt cost effective when a 1.4 turbo can be dropped into the car for about £2k which has more power stock and can easily run 200hp...
