Aggggh! don't give them ideas!!! It sounds like you want road pricing!
If the government create road pricing per milage (like any other tax) it will increase disproportionately over the years.
I think I see which direction the government would like to steer us regarding this. An increase in...
Yep the cut off date for free tax is vehicles manufactured upto the 1st January 1973. You can get away with a few more days (I think up to the 11th Jan) This is based on the manufacturer date, not the date of first registration, so long as you have proof the vehicle was manufactured before this...
They were sneaky enough to change the name to 'vehicle tax' I think they started banding this around a while back when imo they realised they could no longer justifiy how little they were spending on Britains roads.
I'm just wondering how much a vee will be to tax now :S
I'm no expert on wheels and offsets. Dutty and a few others on here have quite wide wheels fitted, try pm'ing them.
All I can say is if your tyres are fouling the lip of the arch it can be ground off then rust proofed and painted, some people have the lip folded, but you really want to get a...
I asked my old insurance company (tesco) about this back when I considered doing it. They wanted an extra £40 on 6 months remaining policy, including the £15 administration fee but it added £100 to my volantary excess, making my total excess including compulsary £350!!!
You can probably guess...
I take it you know egp is a sealer? Anyhoo if you are after protection you cannot go wrong imho with some collinite 476s. It's cheap, it leaves a wet shine and it's bomb proof against crap weather.
My gf's car will still bead after 4800 miles worth of winter driving...
Blast from the past!!!!!
I remember Arch's and BBC micro's (chucky egg!) We had an Archimedes at highschool, the internal speaker was really quiet but it could acually play proper sampled music unlike the bleeps and twirps you'd get from a PC without an Adlib / soundblaster card. In the last...
Many thanks for the replies.
I usually do commercial work which is always wanted yesterday, it's a nice break to do this stuff, it's not often I get a chance to do a bit of art for fun where I can do it at my leisure, time-wise I suppose about 6-7 hrs spaced over two days. Photoshop helps...
I'm looking into printing on A3, at the mo I only have facilities to do A4 (but I can do colour changes / add your plate and wheels etc). I'll let you know.
Well, I'd love to be able to post up a picture of a cup sat on my drive but this time it'll have to be a Photoshop of one I've knocked up using a wacom tab and my trusty old mac, I painted it free hand from a couple of reference photo's.
Dispite knocking around here for a year I'm still...
TBH that is not sad, I used to do bits of art like that myself here's some examples:
I have models of cars also the difference is I'll probably never even own the real things..... and my computer hdd has a larger collection of car vids and pics than p**n (now that IS sad).
I went out today in my car, the sun was shining, the road was fairly clear, I was on the A46 50mph bit up the hill out of Bath and I was having one of them 'I like my car moments' ......then in my mirror I spotted one of those R8's in black, i said to my gf "you listen to this b*****d when it...
I have been like this with every car I've ever owned so far. The problem with cars is that there is so much choice available, think how many fantastic cars there are out there for sub £10k, and when you find a few niggles with your own car the grass always seems greener on the other side...
If nothing else you should find the site helpfull when you have a problem with your car and want some advice. Any problem that a clio has ever suffered from will be fairly well documented, there are even a few renault technicians on here.
Even if you do not do your own work on your car it can...
Most Bm's sound nice with a decent exhaust.
About 10 years ago a guy I worked with at the time had some performance system fitted to his 325i (old boxy shape) and I'm not joking, on full throttle it sounded like a BTCC car, for such a simple change it really transformed the way the car sounded.
I think you've hit the nail on the head there. I agree, if you are going to do a job you may as well do it properly otherwise, metaphorically speaking, it'll be all mouth and no trousers.
Mmmm they are nice. Completely stripped out 1600 with itb's and a sequential box would be awsome. Prima do the kit also for the ph1 shape. infact there was a silver ph1 on Piston heads some months back that had been done really well, it just needed all the right engine mods.
Nah, not stupid at all Brand, if you cant get the services down to your car at home then why not go for a shady jet wash with someone else equipment to get under the arches and chassis, after a winter on salty roads, then finish the job at home.
I'm suprised they dont start kicking off...
Your attempt actually looks better in composition than the one you've taken inspiration from. I'm sure you already know this but you've used the two thirds principle (or golden section) to better effect then the other bloke.
His F1 car appears to be floating above the track, where-as yours is...
Yep, I think this is what the problem will be, if it's both speakers on one side more lightly the HU connection, just make sure you have your security code to re-enter if you unplug it.
If the connections look ok on the HU and you've checked the ones on the speakers take the crackly speaker...
Crikey, if I owned a V6 I would loving the luxury of being able to wash it myself. It really isnt much work and you get to visually check every inch of the body work and therefor keep on top of the maintenence while keeping it looking good.
But seeing as you like getting someone else to wash...
This is what I was thinking, a mini with a ohv engine would be a better bet if you want to get into doing your own work on it. I used to strip engines out of morris minors, heralds and cortinas. I could do one in about 4 hrs and thats with rusted bolts but they are simple engines and everything...
I thought you wanted a mini the other day Hayley. If you want to start getting into cars and doing your own servicing you are better off with a mini. Cambelts are the devils own invention.
Anyway, I'd probably pay £1k for a decent valver, it's like any older car though. Back when I lived at...
The MX5 is one of the best selling convertable cars around and that doesn't have a Haynes manual, I had to buy the 'rod's enthusiast workshop manual'.
It's true through, you can find out most stuff RS clio related on here.
Yep been there, worn the t-shirt.
I'd end up with wet shoes all day or wear boots which make driving the cars awkward. The sponge was always frozen to the bucket in the winter mornings and i remember cringing when i saw other valeters 'cleaning' their shammy with a jet wash on the floor...
I think the waiting lists for those sort of cars are so long he probably just thought to hell with that I'll have the silver one that is available now and get it reprayed in the future, or maybe he just fancied a change of colour after a year but wanted to hang onto the car, £5k is probably...
