I'm annother running Apex springs on my 172, very nice drop and the ride ain't that bad at all, cant believe how many people moan about the harshness of the ride. Did a 1400 mile trip to germany and neither of my two passengers moaned about the ride quality....so its not that bad.

Mine was like this and it was a rear shock, have a quick look under the back of the car and see if one of the shocks are soaked in oil (oil filled shocks) and you'll soon see if one has failed.

Yeah they are yellow, previous research suggested Apex being that colour - definately 16"s! Just looking at coilovers at the mo as i wouldn't mind it being tad lower and wondered what sort of drop it was currently running....

I bought it already lowered, i'm guessing 60mm?

I got a price from Renault when mine broke and they don't sell individual components only complete units and it was just over £200 :( so i went the scrapyard route!

I wish i had taken pic's when mine broke, but basically that white bit fits to the top of the bar/guide that the runner is fixed to and it acts as an anchor point at the top of the bar as the cable runs through it. If you have got the glass propped up you can remove the whole mechanism really...

Well to be honest i have driven my bro's Cup once and only for a short journey and at the time the weather was awful, so didn't really give it any stick. But didn't seem to much difference......although i do like the suspension set up on the cup as it both handles great and retains ride comfort...

yes it does get a bit waterlogged!!

Fogs were just put on the photo's i can assure you 100% they are not used on a daily basis!! they give a quite cool effect if the b/white pics.

My MK4 SRI turbo :( i actually do really miss it after finding out these pics.....i actually preferred the kit on the SRI turbo over the GSI...only mods on mine were tints, anthracite wheels, smoked rear lights.

Mine has felt really odd for the past week - really twitchy, a quick look under the back today revealed a soaked rear shock so ordered a new one today.

Round town driving i get between 29 - 32! in my phase 1....

I have Apex on mine and don't think there that bad, but all my past cars have been silly low and older, Mk2 golf gti etc so i'm finding the clio quite comfortable in comparison.......
