Welcome mate
Ive just put a deposit on a 197 f1. Look forward to seeing you at a meet soon!
... Also @ mick ill be calling you soon to arrange getting the f1's belts done (again)
I put a deposit on this today.
The seats were not bad at all (the steering wheel is a mess though)
I managed to negotiate a decent discount on account of the cambelt... They offered to do it but Id rather have piece of mind it's been done right.
I'll definitely use Mick, he has just done the...
Thanks
its actually £100 cheaper on their website. They weren't open today so I couldn't phone for extra details.
at the price I'm thinking the belts are overdue... possibly still a decent price compared to others on PH/AT.
What do you think to your R27?
I'm hoping to do this too but I will wait until a bit closer to the time to book.
Weather permitting ill be doing the 9/3 one too. There are quite a few clios booked on, anyone from here?
Jack up car, preferably both fronts at the same time.
Undo the pinch bolt and bolts holding it to the wish bone. use ball joint splitter to remove fully.
Be careful the driveshafts don't get pulled out in the process.
rear brakes on 172 Cups are notoriously (and intentionally) weak due to lack of abs.
there is a lot of information on here relating to rear brake effort on cups.

I cant see these cheaper anywhere else.
never used them but at that price they have to worth a punt.
In my very limited experience I'd say you're better off with a proper bush removing tool.
I had to do mine for the MOT and ended up borrowing the right tool from a local garage after spending ages with a hammer and then a vice.
