What alarm is it on it ?? Standard cat1 (cobra ones, I think) systems work on the key plip, they don't have a separate alarm fob. The led should be down by the ash tray & one on the dials (iirc) Is your car an import ?

I'd go see the first one first then go from there. Both ad's aren't the greatest though. Imo you'd easliy get the stealers one for 2.5k anyway if you asked them. Going in person is better than dealing over email etc - just make sure that the car sounds worth seeing !
