Is it not just a bit like a quick detailer? You are only suposed to use those if the cars only a tiny bit dirty.

Imo it's worth it for peace of mind. Some places will do you a cat1 for £250 Other than that you could just get an immobiliser if your worried about it going walkabout. Cat2 immobs are cheap.

I work near Angel, I was in the o2 shop. I randomly looked out of the door & saw you drive past, i've never seen you around before. Are your wheels actually gold, or a sort of goldy colour ?? I only saw the car for a few secs.

I do too, I reckon I might do it the other way round (folk sometimes get a silver mk1, then a blue mk2)
