If i had a 182 as my 1st car, i wouldn't be sat here now. I was a complete t**t behind the wheel 17,18,19,20 yrs old.
Good luck to you mate and congrats!
If it was done on the cheap then chances are they just did the cambelt.
If it was me, i'd get the whole lot done again, just to be sure. I paid £300 for all of it inc parts.
Fook me! would i not want to see that coming towards me on a dark night! that would burn my retinas out!!
Where your badges on the left hand side of the tailgate gone??
Nice car btw, best colour 172's imo. :)
Hell yeah! some decent front components (circa £250) and a high end amp, (again, £250 ish) dynamat the inside of the doors and it will blow you away mate!
I had some focals in my laguna, powered by a PG amp and it used to adjust the rear view mirror it was so powerful!
Its just the engine sucking in more air matey.
When the cam profile alters after 5k, the engine needs more air so it whistles as it sucks it in. I have a stripped out 172 mk1, and at about 6500rpm, it sounds like its singing to me!! lol
Turning it into a decent replica will cost you the same as it would to buy one.
Complete waste of money imo.
interior: £400
Wheels & Tyres £250
Suspension & Spacers £250
Paint £500
Body panels (wings, bumpers, spoiler, skirts) £6/700
Thats £2000!! You can buy one for £2000!
Your username is very good, it rolls right off the tongue.....
As Mike said, the guide os on the forum, and the only tip worth mentioning is you can buy the most expensive paint in the world, but if you rush the prep, it will look horseshit. So, to summarise, take your time prepping everything...
They look bloody awesome in the flesh.
Much like my face....
They should wear much better now justine, the shitty rubber type stuff renault use is sheeeeite. Along with the steering wheel fabric.....TBH, i hope they shot the guy that designed the interior trims of ph-1 Renaultsports!!
