Pretty sure that its acidic, most people will use a pH neutral wheel cleaner, as it won't eat away at any paint/lacquer, and claying your car is easy, you can get kit in halfords, just a case of rinse the car, kneed the clay until its flat, and use the included spray to 'lube' up the surface...
I got mine through my insurance, paid £70 and had a brand new screen fitted, they didn't say anything as I bought the car with a cracked screen 2 days after insurance docs came through I claimed
mine is exactly the same, over the summer was fine, but as soon as it started to get cold I have had it resealed 4/5 times on the cat join, i'm going to do it myself at the weekend with some high temp silicone.
I have no idea when it comes to tar/iron removers, I do have AG intensive tar remover, but I only use that to get rid of sticky label residue.
With regards to a machine, I can borrow a friends one, but he doesn't live close so a hand polish would be better, can the prima amigo be used by hand?
I do have meguires ultimate quick detailer, would this be sufficient, what would be a better product to use, I went for these products purely based on the review they get, didn't really think of any compatibility issues
I have looking at expanding some of my cleaning products I currently use a lot of meguires products, but was going to make a purchase on clean your car for the following things, I admit I don't really know that much when it comes to detailing so any help would be appreciated, I have access to a...
Hey all,
Im having to sell my 1998 mini cooper, its only done 31k since new but over the last few years its getting used less and less. I have decided to sell up and it needs a good old clean and polish. I know the basic's of car detailing but have never used a machine polisher. I want to get a...
It is likely to be the rear shock absorbers, my 182 did exactly what you described until I changed them, for me it was just the back left shock, it had no obvious sign of leaking but when i took it off the car and compressed it, it was like a pogo stick, no damping at all, they should compress...
Re: 21.7 MPH Something wrong?
reset the trip computer each tank of fuel, it does average mpg, so it doesn't change a huge amount, some cars tell you your current mpg this will change lots. the turbo kinda noise is likely to be either the cat-manifold / cat-centre exhaust section has leak. Like...
i tried this when i moved from a 1.2 to a 182 and the stalk adapter that worked in my 1.2 wasn't compatible, where it plugs into the back of the screen was different, and supposedly I had to buy a £90 adapter (if this is true or not, i have no idea) I just run without them, would like them to...
Thanks will do my best to keep the updates coming in. My dad used to have a Chimaera 500 when I was first starting to drive and have wanted a Tvr ever since.
Forgot to say those pics were via Gran Turismo, little update, insurance is now sorted, cheaper than I expected £650 fully comp for a 22yr old. car is going in for it's mot today, it's not going to pass cause it has no cat on it, just want a list of things that need doing. Had a check myself and...
On a tv you are not going to see much if any difference, on my desktop moving from a cheap £5 cable to a slightly better £30 cable made a big difference, as I was getting ghosting on the screen, the better quality cable sorted that problem. Its only really an issue if you for any reason want...
I have made a smart playlist thought iTunes on my mbp, the playlist is my Top 250 most played songs, when I drag it across to my iPhone4 it seems to copy it over, but when you go into the playlist on the phone only 60 track are shown in the playlist, not the 250 like it should be, anyone got any...
