Mixed feelings then. I guess its one of those things i'll have to try out for myself to see if it works ok. New hard drive will be here tomorrow so thought i'd give it an install to see what its like.
Was also toying with the idea of linux, but i just know it will end in tears, as it always...
I'll make it quick. Thinking of giving it a try.. But first, could you tell me :
Your comp specs?
What problems (if any) have you come accross?
Would you recommend it, or would you wait a while?
Thanks!
ok ive found out how you could edit over the original content, should be fine depending on what you actually want to edit.
Once you got the gif open in image ready, select the frame on the timeline you want to edit, then look over to the layers window (usually on the right) and add a new layer...
Hmmmmmm..... Tempted to give it another try tomorrow as im most likely going to reformat anyway. For some reason, the two different program files iratates me :S Don't know why, lol ;x
Damn, will have to wait until tomorrow until i can sort it, the PC i am talkin about has nothin plugged into it, i connect remotely, and at the moment i cant get access to a spair keyboard and monitor to get into bios :0(
Basically i have a computer in another room that i leave on to download overnight. I can only download large quantitys at night as other people use the network in the day, and im also limited to how much i download at peak times. So I was wondering if its posible for the computer to turn...
True, ive just had a very quick look for prices, and a gigabit router comes to £102.21, and the network adapters come in at £16.39 a pop. :D
lol, :rasp:
Yeah, although i was thinking about being able to do it so that 3 people can watch 3 different movies on 3 different comps at the same time for example.
I did used to do a fair bit of video editing, and to get the files smaller i used to open the final version of the video (in umcompressed format) in Videomach, and then set the codec i wanted to use in there (normally xVid, DivX, or Microsoft Windows Media Video 9 codec)
Although i havn't done...
Yeah i know, ive only ever ripped one DVD, altho it was on my old machine, and i ended up canceling it, it was taking that long. Should be 10x faster (i hope!) on my new comp, and then will send them over to the server via file sharing. I might be better off as well looking into faster...
Have you made sure that the animation window is on. If so, i think in image ready, you may have to use layers. You might have to then use photoshop to edit the layers as you want them (just use the button circled in red)
Nice, I didn't even think of doing this but now i have the idea i might well have to look into it :D What kind of storage are you using? How big is it (oh err) and how much did it set you back. Also, the spec of the "server" doesnt have to be so great does it? What are you using?
Thanks.
