just a quick update, hole repaired with timesert final cost £73.00 car runs sooooooooo much better and quiter. things must have been braking down for a long time

would you belive it was the last cylinder on the right. i think its number 1

with this timesert thing will it be a case of tapping the block to take the thread and then using somthing to clean out the loose debres inside?

yea i was hoping that it could be welded up and re cut.

there litraly is no metal left in the threads for a thread to be salvaged. it looks like somone run a drill down it and removed only the thread

Right guys. Somehow i have had a sparkplug explode its self from my current cylinder head. It has taken the thread clean away from the block so i can no longer fit a new plug into the head. what are my options... Is the block scrap? can it be repaired on/off the car? what sort of price am...

was driving down the road and bang!... from what i can summise is, the cheap bosch plugs the previous owner had fitted disintigrated ending in the hook part of the plug droping onto the pistonm, this somehow created an explosion which blew the plug from the block stripping the thread

Well im not going. have found the reason for the missfire. turns out i need a new head!!!! As sparkplug has exploded and.striped the thread from the block. there ant no metal left to re.cut a new one. so..... hope you all have.a good time guys

a good solid tripod and a 300mm lens and if you can do it, a laptop and shoot remotly.. you want to manualy focus and minimise vibrations. fingers crossed its a clear night.

amazing shots love the one with the focus plowing thru the water

it was a first come first serve basis but the cap was 200, i think vix was one of the last at 181 and that was at like 11am, the sign up booth was open till about 2pm. was a great day

my best was 15.51 - but that was my first time on the strip and was running withh full interior and 3/4 a tank of fuel lol vix managed sub 15, not sure exact time
