Renault's placing of the cupholders in the little cubby in front of the gearstick is nothing short of USELESS for a cup of coffe!
I usually set my coffee between my legs on the seat but I'm sick of getting my nuts roasted and my recaros covered in coffee!
I dont want to screw anything into the...
Great video lad! Made me laugh especially when he said 'boot it , boot it, boot it!'. Glad you enjoyed it and that's the best things about these cars - they're a really fun and capable drivers car!
I didn't send the plastic part to Royal, But I used a hot glue gun to attach the gaiter to the plastic bottom part. I didn't have a stapler. The glue gun worked a treat
I don't have a pic at the moment but I had to send my gaiter off to him. He kept my old one because it was no use to me, but he may still have it to use as a template. Worth asking him.
The adjusters are the same as the normal halogen units. The cheapest possible fix would be to try and get a set of standard headlight units from a breaker off any mk2 Clio and swop them over. It's a very fiddly job but should only cost £20or so.
I had an original wheel done by Snappy and changed it for the Sabelt. The sabelt wheel really makes a difference to how the car feels to drive. The steering feels slightly heavier and also feels more direct to turn in. The original wheel is just too big.
Royal have done my Sabelt and I'm really pleased with the work. I've had a Snappy wheel also and his work is top notch also. Royal wheels use a different stitching pattern - it's more like a honeycomb design - and it looks really good.
I had my wheel retrimmed and a gear gaiter made for less...
Disconnecting the power does work on some ECU's. I had a Fiat Coupe and that was the case...but I think it only resets the some of the parameters - like the short term fuel trim. I think it basically reverts to the base fuel / ignition map and the ecu 'relearns' the ideal fuel/ignition values...
Spend 3k on the low boost package and then spend the other 2k on a diff and update/upgrade the suspension. There's not much point in having loads of power and not being able to use it to its full potential. But good luck in whatever route you take
I had a red 20vt and it was a great car! Fast and you could feel the LSD working when driving hard through the tighter turns. Still looks good today IMHO (thanks to Chris Bangle) Mine had the gtech chip and a boost controller and was on 100k + miles and still running well. They are prone to...
Looking good! I treated mine to something similar. Used megs ultimate compound ( which is a great product) and then bilt hamber cleanser polish. I then used prima amigo glaze and then 2 coats of naviwax. Really does wonders for the Trophy paint!
Keep up the good work!
I fitted mine recently and had to very slightly enlarge the hole in the new mount to fit over the spindle. I used a dremel and had to take very little off it. I know you shouldn't have to do this - but I did read about someone else having the same problem.
