If I was not into gaming I'd probably prefer to use a standalone BD player and I'd buy a Popcorn Hour MediaTank or something similar for my media streaming needs as this has greater format support than the PS3. The PS3 media player is good but it cannot handle all files which my Apple TV running...

If gaming is not required then no need to buy the PS3.

The b*****d spiders continue to appear every so often!! There are some good stages coming up for you, well worth playing.

I think that's the start of the levels with the annoying spiders. Additions like that to the game annoy me as they offer nothing extra to the gameplay and are clearly only used as a lazy attempt to slow the game down a little. Have you been on the train yet?

No fan issues with my 60gb PS3.

Which stage are you at? I thought you'd have been way ahead of me but I did play quite a bit over the weekend.

I've made it back to the cruiser ship, the electricity gun on the level prior to that is in a word awesome :)

I'm on the train level now, the visuals are quite nice.

I tried this setup today and it's far better. Zoom is assigned to the R3 button which is far more natural to use and fire on R2 is far less awkward. I think the setting is Standard 2. I've just cleared the Academy level.

I see a patch was released for this which is meant to address some control issues, not sure if I notice a difference or not.

Had my first online session last night and think it's excellent. Also played more of the campaign, that's non stop fighting.

3G on o2 was not working all day yesterday in the Glasgow area, not sure what they were doing to make it unavailable.

If I wasn't so sold on my iPhone 3G then I'd definitely be seriously considering the Omnia HD, I'd say it's worth waiting for.

No because lots of people are always holding off buying one just incase a update is suddenly released. Buying now will guarantee you'll get at least a year from your Mac before it's out of date. Hopefully the prices will also fall slightly but most other electrical items have increased in price...

If they do release updated versions then today is the perfect time to buy one.
