My car was brand new last January with three miles on the clock! Dont worry about my warranty as I have a very detailed brochure which came with it and is for three years. Obviously it is also covered by Renault, and in the first week and a couple more times in the second month it needed...

I would prefer to share something a bit more romantic than than hard looking car bed!

Thanks for sticking up for me.
You too Visceral regarding the stupid place to put an oil filter.
Fred2001Dynamic, wouldnt you have thought that Renault would have had a modern brake system and not from the GTT which hasnt been made for goodness knows how long!
CHEAPSKATES!!
;)
Well done Rhys - a satisfactory conclusion, just as it should be. The car should have been inspected before it was sold to you, not wait for you to have to complain.
No wonder we get fed up of dealers, when they are not doing their job efficiently.
:)
As if someone with a Clio is going to buy an M3:p
He is better sticking with the Beemer rather than an Audi - did you not watch Watchdog the other night Rob?
You probably would only have about the same Tom wouldnt you?
ha:Dha:Dha:Dha:Dha:Dha:Dha:Dha:Dha:Dha:Dha:D
Ive got more bhp than you
As Ive got a 172 and you havent!!!!!
:D
We have got a Vauxhall thingy underneath our 172s - the rear axle apparently, so I was told when my car was up on the ramp yesterday during its service!

If you dont mind me asking, what is your honest opinion of both Renault as a company, the quality of the cars they make and their standard of workmanship in the worshops? You dont need to say which dealer you work for.
Thought for a minute she was smoking cancer weeds or coffin nails!!
Hope there arent too many smokers here - waste of money and not good for health either.
My car has been in to my friends local (good) garage for a thorough first service and he told his mechanics not to book any more 172s in as mine was a bu*ger to work on! He said that it is a good job that mine is the only one around here!
Apparently it took him 25 minutes just to get the oil...
I think you will get trouble with all makes if you dont look after them and keep thrashing the engine constantly!! You should look after your car, especially if it is only a 1.2 which is really a schoolteachers car, rather than a boy racers car!!
How would you like to be constantly thrashed...
