If Sonly sell all 220,000 launch consoles in the UK then that is a huge increase in BD player owners in the UK market. It is a great strategic move for Sony to include it within their console so long as it actually sells. I'm sure it will.

BD is a High Definition DVD, Sony understandably do not wish to refer to it in such a way though as that name is associated with their rival :D

Not as popular as the Wii. Argos are still able to take pre-orders after an antire day of trading, the Wii sold out within minutes. I've placed my pre-order at a local Virgin Megastore today, 7th on the list. £50 deposit and no forced bundle.

So far no problems with using a Japanese or US console in the UK and Sony have said they will not impose region blocking. I think I've decided to wait for the UK release anyway.

So far I've never had a problem with cooling the 360, it maybe all depends where you have it kept. So long as it's not locked away in a closed unit then it should be ok. I'd imagine the majority of 360 owners do not have any additional equipment for cooling and this does not cause any bad outcome.

I traded my 02 plate 172 for £5000 earlier this month with 41,000 miles. I imagine they will try sell it for £6k. On a motorway run you should easily achieve 38-42mpg.

I have now received the "We're happy to tell you that your O2 order has been passed to our warehouse for dispatch. This should be on its way to you very soon." stage so I imagine before long I'll be told that the order is now cancelled.

I averaged 33mpg in my 172 with a mixture of town and motorway driving. Down to 29mpg in my new car :(

You can import these yourself from America for alot less than £500 inc tax and delivery.

The Japanese PS3 will play games from America without any problem so people are not limited to Japanese versions. The 20gb version also lacks the card reader and wireless functionality, both of these things are not important to me. I can also upgrade the HDD whenever I choose with a 120gb drive...

I'll be wasting £425 on one too :D Either that or I may import a 20gb Japanese model for £310 inc import tax.
