Cheers! Pretty sure it’s got a paddle clutch in it at the moment as it’s very on/off but I will decide when I’ve got it all apart. Ideally I’d like something that’s easy to use day to day

I’ve gone epas and run a cup alternator setup. Seemed a simpler option for me. Can then run a 5pk847 belt as you’re only running water pump and alternator
Thinking out loud this but bare with me. I’ve got a pms lightweight pulley on an alternator, do you think I could fit it to my cup alternator and run a 4pk848 belt in replacement for the 5pk847? Would it work, any downside?

Finally after 3 months it’s oil leak free. After initially thinking it was the sealant filled main cap leaking it was actually the sump gasket. All sorted now though!

So after a couple of months of having absolutely no motivation to get the Clio back together due to an oil leak, the engine is finally back in and touch wood oil leak free so far!
Still some little bits to sort out, but hoping to get out on track later this year (cheap winter track days ftw😝)...
If you want a ‘budget’ tyre I’d recommend the TR1 far better than the outgoing t1r, plenty of grip in the wet and dry. But if budget isn’t an issue Pilot sport 4 all day long
