they sre slightly different depending on the age of vehicle.your best to find a alternator of a 19/clio which has the same belt tensioner setup to ensure they are the same.
i fitted a mk2 exhaust to a mk1 and noticed i had to pull out the telescopic joints fully out so the tail pipe lined up with the bumper so the mk1 + mk2 cat pipes must be quite a difference in length like you say.
sounds like a siren problem due to your indicators not going off.either the siren is losing its permanent feed or it has an internal problem.try my suggestion in the previous post and see how it goes.

well they look the same from the outside so it would be very unlikely anybody would notice.just make sure if it goes in for a running fault that you refit your old computer-you dont want the dealer to try and reprogramme the group n computer.it will either nacker the comp or the normal road...
check your rocker cover gasket.as part of a service a while ago you had to check the tightness of the rocker cover bolts because they work loose and the gaskets leak.
