Doc, have a look at page 2 in the Gallery at Geoffs 172 with the ACE 197s on, that looks gorgeous!

Havent you got a good independent garage around? They are used to working on all cars. Half the labour charges too and usually more thorough, as not normally having targets to meet they are not rushing and skipping work.

Reading the press release, it looks as though it is identical to the Clio Cup, the same mondial blue too, probably using a different name for the French market.

Why dont you ask the guys with the blue cars what their opinion is about your choice of wheel? Personally I wouldnt put anthracite on the blue, but others might, it is your taste which counts! Have a look in the Gallery at cars there.

Your question was "Can you wax your car too much?". So I replied "No" as I have always been a compulsive car polisher, and my cars have always been very smooth to touch and look so much better than neglected cars. Just walk round a big car park and you will be able to spot the well polished...

PS Doc, mine are fitted with 205/45/17 Toyo Proxes.

Appearance wise, everyone says the 17" wheels look so much better than the standard ones. With regard to the handling, as I am no boy racer I wouldnt know if the acceleration is any different, as I dont tend to race every other car on the road like many here! The ride feels just a teensy weensy...

Ben, if you want quiet roads, just take yourself a bit further up north, even as far up as the Highlands! Often you see nothing but sheep for miles, and it would be a good place for a M A S S I V E convoy of Clios!
